This vacation at Chennai was a simple one .Dint go out much .I was at home taking rest ,eating and just spending time watching the plants ,cows ,dogs ,some birds etc etc .
One thing that i did was took tungli to an orphanage which is 20 minutes away from my home .We bought few biscuits and some clothes .
My experience there goes like this....
I got this smell of cattle when I went there . Wow I just loved that smell. I am a country girl . An old lady opened the gate and said please wait in the office room ,the manager would come soon .
The office room had a sofa, few posters on donations,a chair and a fan .It was too hot inside so I took tungli out of the room and we were looking at the pink flowers ,shoes of the kids ,their plates, their bucket and mugs what not.
My thoughts were,if ever my parents dint keep me with them I would have been here . How blessed I am and how blessed tungli is .
Meantime the manager came .I gave away the bag to him . All the kids came to us .They just loved tungli and I loved them too . How could they ever have a life like this ? They were like see this pink baby and they wanted to lift tungli .Tungli had a good time with them .
I took a single picture with them and the best part is it so original .U can see the kids posing like a snake, tongue out, yoyo, princess etc .How pure hearted and innocent these kids are .
Anytime,I would love going to this home.
So before I end up,there are people who asked me why you are going there and taking tungli with you .
The answer is there is so much in this world other than .....Facebook,selfies,money,party,makeup etc etc .
Bring up a good human being first.

Well said at last! There's lot of things we unknown and unexperienced or never had a thought of... But i really liked the idea of taking tungli there so she learns/observe something from base life and treat children at home.
ReplyDeleteYes that's right . Thank you jeevan ♡
DeleteO, touching, Shilpa. All come to this world with the same process. Some are born cushioned bed and some on the rough surface of streets. What a variation in beings.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree ♡
DeleteNice going, Shilpa. It reminds me of the two years I went a group from our church to help improve the life and living quarters of children in a state orphanage back in 2006 and 2007. Our major items were to paint, install three hot water heaters in three dorms, provide better lighting the girl's dorm so the could see good enough to read, and conduct a Bible school with the kids. They loved us. Search my Jim's Little Blog to get started reading about our visit.
ReplyDeleteI am happy, glad, that you took Tungli Long with you. I know the kids hot to love her and that this would be one of the biggest lessons she will ever learn.
..
Thabk you so much
DeleteIt was good of you to visit the orphanage. Thanks for the words of wisdom at the end of your post.
ReplyDeleteThanks George. Take care
DeleteHello Shilpa, thank you for stopping by my blog !
ReplyDeleteI don't know you well but my impression of you is that you are a very empathetic , kind , compassionate person ... you are very wise with how you look at life. I wish more people felt the way you do. Tungli is a lucky child in many ways to have you teach her these things.
I wish the very best for you and Tungli.
This is one of the most beautiful comment I have read so far . Means a lot . Thank you . I am facing a kind of depression and your comment has helped me think my life in a positive way .thanks
